The Service

Designed for the space. Built for a lifetime.

Bespoke interiors are the work that defines a home. The kitchen you cook in every day. The wardrobe you open every morning. The bathroom where the marble meets the wall. These are the surfaces people touch, the details people notice, and the elements that separate a refurbishment that feels considered from one that simply looks finished.

Melner designs and manufactures bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, fitted furniture, and architectural joinery entirely in-house. Every piece is built to the exact dimensions of the space it occupies — scribed to walls that are never plumb, fitted to floors that are never level, and finished to a standard that rewards close inspection.

We work with your interior designer's specifications or develop the design ourselves from your brief. Either way, the manufacturing and installation are ours — our workshop, our craftsmen, our quality control. There is no middleman between the drawing and the finished piece.

From a single bespoke wardrobe to a full kitchen, bathroom, and joinery package across an entire property — we deliver the same precision whether the scope is one room or twenty.

What we make

Every element of the interior, in-house.

Bespoke Kitchens

Custom cabinetry, luxury worktops in marble, granite, or composite, integrated appliances, and full plumbing and electrical. Designed around how you live — not around a catalogue.

Luxury Bathrooms

Full bathroom design and installation. Book-matched marble, bespoke vanity units, wet rooms, freestanding baths, heated flooring, and brass or nickel fixtures. Every detail resolved before a tile is laid.

Fitted Furniture & Wardrobes

Walk-in wardrobes, dressing rooms, library walls, window seats, media units, and alcove storage — built precisely to your space, scribed to period walls, finished to furniture-grade standard.

Architectural Joinery

Wall panelling, coffered ceilings, arched door frames, staircase balustrades, and bespoke mouldings. The structural woodwork that gives a room its character and proportion — manufactured and installed by our team.

Custom Furniture

One-off pieces designed for specific spaces — boardroom tables, reception desks, kitchen islands, and freestanding storage. From concept sketches to finished, installed furniture.

Period Restoration

Restoration of original joinery in listed and period buildings — sash windows, panelled doors, shutters, cornicing, and ceiling roses. Matching materials, profiles, and techniques to preserve heritage character.

Every handle flush. Every joint invisible. Every piece scribed to walls that are never plumb. That is what bespoke means — not a style, but a standard of execution.

In-house workshop

Manufactured by us. Installed by us.

Melner operates its own joinery workshop. Every piece of cabinetry, every fitted wardrobe, every panelled wall is manufactured by our craftsmen from raw timber and sheet materials — not ordered from a supplier and assembled on site.

This gives us complete control over quality, lead times, and the precision of the finished product. When we say a kitchen is bespoke, we mean it was designed for your room, built in our workshop, and installed by the same team that made it.

For projects with an appointed interior designer, we manufacture to their drawings and specifications. For clients without a design team, we develop the joinery design ourselves — from material selection and spatial planning through to detailed shop drawings and 3D visualisation.

Our architectural joinery capability extends beyond furniture. We manufacture wall panelling, coffered ceilings, arched door surrounds, staircase components, and bespoke moulding profiles — work that most contractors outsource to specialist firms.

Recent commissions include a leaf-shaped boardroom table manufactured for the Kylu Creative Office in Swiss Cottage, a full hidden home-office unit concealed behind bi-fold doors at Nightingale Square, and restored period panelling and shutters across two floors of a Grade II listed townhouse in Marylebone.

The result is interior joinery that looks like it has always been there — because it was designed for exactly where it sits.

How we deliver

From brief to installed and finished.

01
Design & Specification
Working from your designer's drawings or developing the design ourselves. Material selection, hardware specification, and detailed shop drawings produced for sign-off before manufacture begins.
02
Site Survey & Template
Precise laser measurement of the space once first-fix is complete. Every wall, floor level, and ceiling height mapped so the manufactured pieces fit perfectly on arrival — no adjustments on site.
03
Manufacture
Built in our workshop from selected timbers and materials. Each piece is quality-checked, pre-finished where possible, and sequenced for delivery at exactly the right point in the build programme.
04
Installation & Finishing
Installed by the same craftsmen who built it. Scribed to the space, hardware fitted, final adjustments made, and everything snagged to our standard before we consider the room complete.
