01 — The Brief

Dead space to
headquarters.

CAG Ltd operates the largest McDonald's franchise network in the UK. Their Bond Street premises had the address and the square footage — but the space itself was a collection of empty rooms, underused corridors, and dead zones spread across two floors with no sense of cohesion or purpose.

Supremati was brought in to rethink the space entirely. Melner delivered the full fit-out — stripping back the existing layout and rebuilding it as a proper corporate headquarters with a boardroom, training room, private offices, an open-plan main office, and the kind of finish that reflects the scale of the operation run from within it.

The result is an office that feels considered, professional, and distinctly not corporate-generic. Warm materials, precise detailing, and a layout that supports the way the team actually works — from focused solo work to full-company presentations.

“The space had everything except purpose. Two floors on Bond Street, sitting largely empty. The brief was to turn dead rooms into a headquarters that reflects the ambition and scale of the business being run from it.”

Melner managed the full strip-out and fit-out across both floors. Existing partitions were removed, new walls and glazed screens installed, and the services — electrical, data, HVAC, and lighting — were entirely replaced to support the new layout and the technology demands of a modern corporate office.

The boardroom seats twelve comfortably, with integrated AV and acoustic treatment that makes it suitable for presentations, video calls, and client meetings. The training room was designed to accommodate staff from across the franchise network, with flexible furniture that reconfigures for different session formats.

The private offices are positioned away from the main open-plan area, each with bespoke joinery and a level of finish that distinguishes them without isolating them from the wider team. The overall result is a headquarters that CAG can be proud to bring people into — partners, franchisees, and corporate visitors alike.
